Victoria at Club Monsoon

Some AI images of Victoria Wells performing at the Club Monsoon in Harlem around 1908, generated using Adobe Firefly. Victoria’s exploits continue in The Long Timer Chronicles: Here and Everywhere, due out before the end of the year.

All the images of Victoria are based on this headshot I generated in Adobe Express or Firefly in 2025.
Not a bad rendering but I forgot to include the scarf she wears to conceal the scar on her neck.

One afternoon, Victoria had a surprise visitor while she was practicing at the club, composer Scott Joplin. Firefly did a reasonably good job of recreating Joplin.

Another alternate photo of Victoria and Scott Joplin. I like those showing him at the piano, but prefer the one of them standing together beside the piano.
An alternate shot of Victoria at the piano which I like but I forgot to instruct Firefly to conceal her hair under her cap.

As with most AI experiments, there were some duds, mainly based on the prompt that Victoria is shorter than average.

In Tales of Two Sisters, I do describe Victoria as childlike, but this is stretching it a bit.
She looks a bit like a toddler in this one. Since she didn’t start playing the piano until her fifties, this doesn’t work.
