Nothing says the South better than Mockingbirds. Being the state bird in Florida makes it even better. Growing up in the country in Central Florida , I woke up to their songs, we didn’t have air conditioning. Thanks for sharing.
They produce an amazing variety of sounds. I’ve heard them imitating a number of birds, and I believe I heard one answering a crow once. The crow would caw and the Mockingbird would answer back with a caw of its own.
